Hmmm, this is either really cool, or really disturbing. THeOReos, over at Instructables, has uploaded pictures and instructions on how to take your innocent-looking Wii Remote, bypass the whole Wii Zapper concoction, and turn it into what’s essentially a Zapper in an MP5 shell.

Dubbed the “WeeP 5 Advanced Zapper” (pronounced Wii-Pee-Five), this Wii Remote mod essentially fits the Wii Remote to the airsoft MP5 gun rather than the other way around. It basically means that if you want to make this yourself, you’re going to have to essentially butcher the Wii Remote and stick the buttons and wiring onto convenient locations on the gun.

Now, while this is great for all those traditional shooters that utilize the Wii Zapper (such as RE: The Umbrella Chronicles, CoD: World at War, and Medal of Honor), I’m pretty sure the original Zapper accompanied a game with a wooden crossbow-bearing Hylian on the box. Someone want to get on that?
