Hmm, three holiday seasons later, Wii consoles are still flying off store shelves. Barely two years into its life and already reaching Super Nintendo sales totals, you’d have to think that Nintendo would freak out over the potential product shortages for a major peripheral launch. Oh look, Wii MotionPlus is set to debut worldwide next spring.

Wii MotionPlus isn’t exactly just a hunk of plastic like the Wii Zapper or Wii Wheel. It’s got some sophisticated stuff all packed in there. Not to worry, 1:1 enthusiasts, as Nintendo is anticipating huge demand and acting accordingly. Reports are saying that Nintendo has already increased their order for more gyroscopes from partner InvenSense. As long as all 45 million Wii owners won’t be looking to pick up a Wii MotionPlus for a full set of four Wii Remotes each, initial supplies should be adequate. Or will they?
