Here’s something that showed up in my inbox not too long ago. DHRECK decided that the cold, sleek, white plastic exterior of the Wii Remote wasn’t exactly welcoming, so a few saws, lighters, some sandpaper, glue, and a ball of hemp later, we have what DHRECK dubs the “Hemp-mote.” An impressive mod, to say the least.
It turned out the whole thing wasn’t very practical for playing – the outer shell is now very fragile, and the hemp itself is extremely sensitive to sweat and skin oils. DHRECK’s hemp-mote is, as a result, probably now beginning its life as a shelf display.
