Either Club Nintendo takes time off for Christmas, of Nintendo is finally getting around to fixing the site. Club Nintendo has been having problems since launch, including but not limited to refusing to let certain pre-existing My Nintendo members (me) transfer their accounts.
The error message doesn’t give a lot of information pertaining to what exactly is being fixed. (Everything, hopefully.) We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
