*gasp* Wii consoles auctioning for $250

If you were to meander over to eBay right now and search for a Wii, you’re not going to find prices rivaling that of the PlayStation 3′s launch price as it was in 2006, nor will you have to fork over roughly $470 as you might have had to last Christmas. No, it seems that the average resale price for new Wii consoles has finally dipped to $250, or as some would call it, the Wii’s suggested retail price.

In fact, you might find that a majority of the auctions out there are needing to bundle a handful of games just to earn the seller around $275 or so, which is not a bad thing for you, should you be looking for a Wii. Chalk this one up to Nintendo finally increasing shipments to keep up with demand on top of more and more people being picky as to their holiday spendings.

Not to worry, scalpers, Wii Sports Resort should shoot that demand right back up again… in a few months.
