Santa to bring DSiWare to Japan next week

Perhaps the DSi’s biggest selling point, DSiWare, will launch on Christmas Eve in Japan. I’m sure you’re all dying to know what will be available from the start, so let’s take a look.

  • Ugoku Memo-Cho (Moving Memo Pad), Free: It’s a memo pad. A memo pad that moves.
  • Tori to Mame (Bird and Bean), 200 Points: It’s WarioWare‘s Pyro! Guide him over small holes to chow down on beans that fall from the sky.
  • Kami Hikooki (Paper Airplane), 200 Points: It’s another WarioWare mini game. Guide a paper airplane around obstacles without hitting them. Stages are randomly generated, and there’s a Time Attack and Battle mode.
  • Chotto Magic Taisen (Brief Magic Encyclopedia), 200 Points each: Individually sold magic tricks. Ok?
  • Art Style: Aquario, 500 Points: Match colored blocks in this underwater puzzle game. Yes, it’s a brand new Art Style game. Excellent.
  • Art Style: Decode, 500 Points: arrange flying numbers together in groups that add up to 10.
  • Chotto Dr. Mario (Brief Dr. Mario), 500 Points: It’s Dr. Mario. What more needs to be said?
  • Utsusu Made in Wario (WarioWare Imitate), 500 Points: It’s a brand new WarioWare game that uses the camera to capture players in embarassing poses for microgames. This one sounds fun.
  • Chotto Asobi Taisen Otegaru Trump (Brief Play Encyclopedia Simple Playing Cards), 500 Points each: Several individually-sold card games, including Old Maid, D-Out, Concentration, and Speed.
  • Chotto Nou wo Kitaeru Otona no DSi Training (Brief Memory Training Adult’s DSi Training), 800 Points each: Test your knowledge of science or humanities.

There seem to be some pretty interesting applications there at launch, though Brain Age is mysteriously missing. I know I’m always up for some new WarioWare!
