NES-themed Nike sneakers don’t look awful
Nike has released this pair of Air Classic BW sneakers with a NES theme. The references may not be immediately apparent, but the colors are the same as those used on all kinds of NES stuff, from boxes to ads to controllers. Yes, you can even wear video game history on your feet these days. I remember when the NES itself was still big. Any Nintendo-related footware only came in children’s sizes and was sure to have at least one picture of Mario on the side. Adults were left to their brightly-colored parachute pants and oversized sunglasses.
I don’t miss the 80s.

I’d like to have them, but I don’t think I could ever bring myself to wear them and subsequently wear them out. But, then again, maybe I could use them as fencing shoes…(ponders)
