DSiWare gets bigger with WarioWare and more

The DSi will be getting lots of WarioWare love, with several new WarioWare games and programs announced for DSiWare.

Firstly, Nintendo plans to make individual mini games (not micro games, but mini games) from the original WarioWare game available for download for 200 Nintendo Points each. Nintendo has also announced a whole new game called “Utsuso! Made in Wario,” which basically means “Take a Picture! Made in Wario.” (Made in Wario being the Japanese name for WarioWare.) This new game will, predictably, take advantage of the DSi’s built-in camera for micro games, much like Smooth Moves made use of the pointer and motion sensor in the Wii remote, and Touched took advantage of the DS touch screen and microphone.

Got all that? Good, because there’s more.

Also planned is a mini game creation utility, called “Made in Ore.” Made in Ore (or “Made in Me” in English) will allow users to create their own games, customizing sprites, music, and rules. Users will then be able to upload their created games to a WiiWare title called “Asobu! Made in Ore” (Play! Made in Me) and play them on the big screen.

Moving away from the WarioWare love, Nintendo also announced six brand new Art Style DSiWare games for 500 points each. Finally, Nintendo has announced downloadable train line maps for 200 points, which is pretty much exactly the kind of thing they were talking about when the DSi was announced at their press conference earlier this month.

None of these games/programs have been announced for a Western release, but I think it’s safe to get your hopes up. (Well, maybe not for the train maps. I know, I’m disappointed too.)
