Friday Night Concerts: Play-ing Oblivion
I’m starting to run out of concerts to show you all! …or at least, I can’t seem to find much more. Luckily, the rare occasions I find a symphony concert for you all to enjoy, it’s usually a good one I stumble across.
This week, Arnie Roth takes the podium for the Play! Symphony’s Stockholm performance last year. It’s the theme to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion by Jeremy Soule. I’ve not played the game - though I’ve got at least one or two friends who absolutely love the game - so this is the first time I’m getting to hear the score. I must say… I need to play more games. I’m missing out on some great soundtracks.

Yes. Yes you do. lol
I played a good 40 hours in Oblivion, and I’m still in love with it, but I was borrowing it from a friend. I’m going to have to suck it up and go out and buy it one of these days..
Fallout 3 comes out soon, so if anybody hasn’t given either Morrowind or Oblivion a try, I would definitely recommend it. It’s built off of the Oblivion engine and is basically the post-apocalyptic version of Elder Scrolls.
I can’t get into Oblivion. It’s the battle system. Whenever I have to fight something, I just want to stop playing.
