GameStop has announced an upcoming event to reach out to female gamers, called “Me Time Anytime,” which is perhaps a misnomer since the event is only taking place on October 18th, and even then, only for three hours. During the event, the customers will be able to give several DS game demos a spin with GameStop employees standing by to answer any questions that may pop up. For once, they won’t be too busy making weird slurping noises through their retainers and winking awkwardly at anything with breasts that happens to wander in through their boys-only clubhouse doors.

In addition, several locations will be hosting special marquee events, with free drinks (probably appletinis), music (probably Sarah McLachlan) and other somewhat-condescending things for Oprah-worshipping soccer mom stereotypes. Starting today, GameStop will even through in a pretty carrying case:
