MadWorld may only be mad in parts of the world
Wii exclusive MadWorld may never see the light of day in countries with heavy censorship. Whether or not publisher Sega is willing to put the effort into the game to make it acceptable to the various game rating boards in countries like Australia and Germany depends largely on how the game performs in other countries. Right now, such markets aren’t a part of Sega’s strategy in regards to MadWorld. Even Japan, where the game is being developed, may not see a release.
Don’t worry too much about a North American release, though, since it seems to be the key to what happens with the game in other countries. Sega even sends builds of MadWorld to the ESRB regularly, and Platinum Games takes their feedback into consideration.
