Capcom puts Mega Man 9 box art to work

Let’s just get this out of the way. No, the cartridge isn’t playable on that mint condition NES that you have been babying for years now. It’s just an awesome case for the promotional media on the included disk.

That being said, it shouldn’t stop anyone flow blowing into the bottom of the cartridge each time they open it. Capcom is going all out to promote this game like it’s 1987. I wonder if they do the Locomotion as they move around the office. Who ever was responsible for the price tag should immediately get a raise. That, is genius.

I guess I haven’t been keeping up on the MM9 news, because I thought that Mega Man 9 was going to be a download for WiiWare/Xbox Live/PSN…does this mean that it will be released in stores, too? Will it be released for all systems this way?

Ah…Google informed me that this was promotional material for the press. I missed that in Pete’s summary. Still, if they released it like this, I would definitely buy it.

sorry, i could have been a little clearer… good news is there is talk of selling around 200 of the press kits to anyone who wants them if you just can’t go on without their awesomeness in hand
