As usual, Nintendo is avoiding TGS this year, but that doesn’t mean the company can’t hold their own party. Nintendo has confirmed that they will be revealing “new products” at a self-hosted press event just prior to TGS. What exactly will be revealed? No body knows. Supposedly not even Nintendo.

In terms of the press conference, its content and announcements are still being finalized so we are not announcing anything at this time.

My guess is that a few promised “hardcore” titles might show up. If the gaming gods are feeling generous, maybe the elusive new DS model will be revealed. I would love to suggest not getting too excited, but who am I kidding? Nintendo fans, it’s time to do what you do best. Speculate away!
