Japan gets Digital Photo Channel for Wii

As of yesterday, Japanese Wii owners can download a new Digital Photo Channel for the Wii. The channel, presented in partnership with FujiFilm, allows Wii owners to insert their photo-loaded SD cards and import their pictures. Users can print out their photos using Image Intelligence for ¥30 (or 28¢) each, or order a small, customizeable photobook for ¥1575 (US $14.66). Larger photobooks are available for ¥2480, and Mii Business Cards (where were these when we were making our The Tanooki business cards for E3??) are available for ¥500 sets.

You can view the instruction manual here, or check past the break to watch the trailer video. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a similar channel in the States soon – it’d beat the Photo Channel in terms of functionality, and it’d beat having to drive to Walgreens or some other store just to print photos.
