Fire Emblem: New DS trailer and the commercial for Japan
A new trailer for Fire Emblem: New Shadow Dragons and the Blade of Light has popped up on the Nintendo Channel in Japan. You can view it above, and watch as it talks about the changes to class advantages introduced in later Fire Emblem games but new to this remake of the original, Wi-Fi modes, etc… I think. I don’t know, I can’t understand Japanese.
There’s also a crazy cool commercial at the end, depicting Fire Emblem as an actual, chess-like board game. If Fire Emblem could actually work as a board game, I’d totally be all over it.

Love the Fire Emblem series. Unfortunately, the move away from anime style 2D models makes the characters look somewhat, well, lifeless. Much like some of the emotions that were attempted in the Gamecube cut scenes. I suppose it does allow for more accurate mouth movement to any speech. Oh well, it’s the natural next step in the dialogue I suppose.
