Simon Belmont gets “Sissy-fied” in Castlevania Judgement

While opening up the latest edition of Nintendo power this morning, I found some questionable art pictures for Castlevania Judgement. While I haven’t been a fan of the art direction since the NES days, this seriously has me shaking my head. How could Simon Belmont craft such an outfit while living in the late 1600’s? Even if he found a tailor that wouldn’t laugh as he explained the specifications of the outfit in question, why would he have crafted such a thing?

This seems to be a real departure from the Castlevania series that we all know and cherish. I am really keeping my fingers crossed for this title. There are some gameplay shots as well, these can be seen after the break.

Interesting...Without all the belts, where would he keep his hundreds of crosses, axes, holy water, stop watches, daggers, and hearts he collects?
  • Oh man, he needs way more belts than that.

Seriously though, what the heck? That looks awful. If the idea of a Castlevania fighter wasn't weird enough.

Hmm...I think I might be able to live with Maria's gothic lolita thing, but Simon is just...yeah. I hope the game is good, then this will be forgiven. :P

I presume this game is nothing near series canon. lol
