At the Anime Expo this past weekend, Aksys, have announced that they are creating a survival horror game called Theresia for the Nintendo DS, that is being developed by Workjam and Arc System Works. It will share similar gameplay features, such as open exploration and clue searching that was coined by the the title, Shadowgate.
The main character is a female protagonist, though she is obscured during gameplay by the first person-perspective. Twisted family relationships are said to play a central role in the storyline, the protagonist “loves her mom… a lot.”
It’s nice to see some mature titles hit the Nintendo DS a little bit more frequently lately. I mean, we can’t play Hamsterz and Deal or No Deal everyday, can we?
