64% of Japanese Wii Fit owners have already put the game down

Countless workout regimes and diets have met their premature demises due to laziness, lack of immediate results or ineffectiveness, and Wii Fit seems to be heading down that route over in Japan. In a poll taken by ITMedia, 1,000 gamers were asked if they have kept up with the popular workout game, with a staggering 64% saying they’ve stopped using it since their purchase only a few months ago, while 22% say they still record their progress everyday. The remaining voters are more sporadic with their workouts, only dedicating 2 to 3 days a week to sometimes only once a week.

How about you, Tanooki readers; have you stopped your Wii Fit regime? If so, why? Repetitiveness, lack of new exercises?

I keep at it 45 days in a row… I think. I just like to start my day working out. It gives me more motivation to do more each day and on days where I am less productive than others I don’t feel as guilty.
