Final Fantasy: My Life as a microtransaction addict

Those of you in Japan (the whole lot of you) who purchased Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King on WiiWare (even more of you!) have a few new additions to game waiting for you to purchase as of earlier this week. For starters, 100 Wii Points will get you Castle Reform, adding the Temporary Estuary Dungeon and allowing you to change adventurers’ names. 200 Wii Points will get you the Library, which in itself houses another dungeon while also allowing you to teach “species-specific abilities.” Finally, a premium 300 Wii Points will give you Infinite Tower, full of challenges and treasures.

In the wardrobe department, new clothes for either King Leo or Chime – the latter getting a bikini – will cost you 100 Wii Points each. Yep, there goes about an hour’s worth of minimum wage!
