Fischer: Still looking into memory solution

080619indyfridge.jpgNintendo of Europe’s Laurent Fischer, who shall forever be remembered for his recent joke, has confirmed that Nintendo is still taking taking the Wii’s lack of internal memory as a serious problem for some. At the same time, he clarified an earlier statement from Iwata: No hard drive.

“We definitely detect that they [geeks and otaku] are serious and we know there is an issue in this, so it’s something that we’re working on. Definitely there’s no plan to issue hardware, an external hard drive, but we know that we have an issue in that area. It’s very obvious and we’re perfectly aware of it, but there’s nothing we can say beyond this.”

His advice until then? Keep clearing your refrigerator – you can always go back and download the games for free. That is, unless you’re like me and have had a crappy Wi-Fi connection as of late and haven’t even been able to download the firmware update yet…
