Two executive officers representing the Tecmo developers’ labor union have filed a class-action lawsuit against the company. Like Itagaki and a few more Team Ninja employees have, the union is citing unpaid wages owed for past projects. Forget 36, the union represents all 300 developers on staff.

Tecmo seems to have used an illegal “flexible hour” method to waive the bonuses promised to its employees by previous management. It amounts to about 100+ hours per month of unpaid wages since 2004. The leaders representing the union are suing for $77,000. If that’s the amount due to each of those 300 employees, Tecmo could be in for a rough year.
