Metroid art, another Tanooki original
I crawled out of the dungeon that my summer school has become, to bring you a little art work that I put together the other day. I’m glad to see Matt celebrating his new found freedom with a rockin’ video, and I wish I could say the same thing. Think of the picture as a post card of sorts, only with more “wish I were there!” than “wish you were here!” Full resolution image available after the break.
I made an 8×8 (roughly) print of the image on some higher quality paper to test out my new printer (convenient, yes?), and now have it propped up next to my monitor. Had I been thinking I could have sized it to fit in a nice little frame and displayed it on my desk. Or put it in a locket necklace. Or even some wallet sizes to give to all my friends on picture day with the same sloppy hand written message on the back. Then again, maybe it was best I didn’t think about it.

Most impressive.
it would make a good mouse pad. *nods*
Samus would be proud!
Okay, if you’re going to quote Super Metroid, and create a “hardcore Metroid fan art” you could do without drawing the butt-ugly Echoes visor. The Echoes visor isn’t in Super Metroid—it’s not in any of the CLASSIC Metroid games. This is good art, but stylistically and logically it fails on so many levels.
Yes, because now we are analyzing the style and logic of art created about a GAME that features space pirates, giant brains (mother brains, if you will), and spazer beams.
Your comment has just failed on so many levels, including stylistically and logically.
I always wondered what a “Father Brain” would be like….
Wow great job!
