Rechargeable batteries throw off Wii Wheel?
If you use rechargeable batteries and have yet to purchase Mario Kart Wii beware: they may throw off the wheels balance due to weight or voltage issues. I myself use a third-party rechargeable station to stay eco-friendly and conserve money that would otherwise be wasted on buying countless packages of AA batteries, but don’t use the Wii Wheel to play Kart. Instead, I use the Classic Controller attachment. This has yet to be recognized as a problem by Nintendo and probably won’t since they don’t offer any first-party rechargeable docks for the Wiimote and will likely blame the company who manufactured said docks as the source of the problem.
Have any of you tree hugging gamers encountered any problems using the wheel while powering your Wiimote with a rechargeable battery?

I have a NYKO charge station and have not had any problems while playing with the wheel.
yeah same here… i use all rechargables… and haven’t had any problems
I’ve been using rechargable batteries since the Wii’s launch, and with Mario Kart Wii without any problems…
I’ve had no problems until lately - when I tried to make a right turn a couple of times, it turned left instead!
Maybe I turned the wheel too far, even though I’ve always turned it the same way?
That makes no sense. A Rechargeable battery pack wouldn’t weigh any more than a regular pair of AA batteries. I haven’t had any problems with my NYKO rechargeables.
