It’s been what, over eleven years since Mega Man 8? I know a few huge fans of the blue bomber around here that might be interested to know: Mega Man 9 has been confirmed as of today. It’s been rated by the OFLC, Australia’s equivalent of the ESRB. Unfortunately, we don’t have anymore specifics.
The listing above simply says it’s multi-platform, while Destructoid has a few rumors suggesting the game will hit Xbox Live and PSN at the very least. Of course, the rest of us are hoping for Wii, DS, or at least WiiWare versions. It’s perfect for the Wii Remote, right?
If the rumors are true, though, you can look forward to online multiplayer, leaderboards, and even some new characters. Cross your fingers!
