Samus cosplay from last month’s ACen 2008
arlette_resendiz’s Samus costume may not be as proportionally accurate as Jenni Källberg’s Varia Suit, but it’s pretty good and pretty shiny, and that’s what’s important. She wore the costume for the Anime Central 2008 convention (which is coincidentally held in our own backyard - in Rosemont, IL), modeling it after the heroine’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl appearance.
I’m convinced that any Samus cosplay with some effort put into it will look amazing. Too bad I could never put one on without being called out for cross dressing.

Oh don’t kid yourself, you could pull off a pre revelation Samus. You know before we found out she was a woman.

I dunno, her “camel toe” makes it perfectly obvious that she is definitely a woman.
And those shoulder pads? Samus is indeed a woman from the 80s.
LOL!!! I didnt think people would post my costume in different websites. Yes I’m a girl ^_^ It took me 3 months to make the costume. It was alot of hard work and even if it doesnt looking like it, I’m really proud of it. I ended up selling it on ebay. The starting price was $300.00 (you know, to cover all the materials and time I’ve spend). It ended up selling for $850.00 and someone who worked for Metroid 1 and 3 bought it for me! I’m happy my costume is with someone who worked for the game.
