Fischer: Only “Geeks” need more Wii memory

While over in Japan, Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata recognized that it’s the same core gamers begging for more memory as those willing to spend the money for a Wii storage solution, their European figureheads aren’t seeing things in the same light. Fischer essentially says the same thing, according to EDGE magazine, but labels those “core” gamers differently:

…When asked a pertinent question about the limited Wii system memory was raised, Laurent Fischer, managing director of marketing at NoE, easily slipped into talking about how “geeks and otaku” were the only people who want this issue addressed.

Journalists at the Nintendo preview event where I assume this quote came from were also told it was their job to spread the word about WiiWare titles, mostly through review coverage. In other news, WiiWare developers were seen marching up to the gates at Nintendo of Europe carrying torches and pitchforks.

Funny.. Not too long ago they said they weren't going to forget about those "core" gamers. Turns out they don't really care. Damn them for making it so much fun... If it was lame I wouldn't be upset.. :S

I've accepted the fact that I'm a "geek" awhile ago; that said, give me my storage.

Well, that's a bit harsh maybe....Yamauchi wasn't all bad, but he still was prone to saying things that pissed me off. :P

Wow, what an ass. He's the new Hiroshi Yamauchi.
