Japanese McDonald’s offering news, demos, and nutrition for DS owners
For about a month, between May 27 and June 31, the house that Ronald built will be trying a few new features for DS owners. Dubbed the Nintendo Spot, users can download a basic browser to check nutritional information, restaurant promotions, and other McDonald’s news (whatever that could be, I have no idea). Also DS demos will be available to try and lure in a few more prospective customers.
If the test goes well in the initial 21 locations, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the service expanded. It sort of reminds me of the Mariners‘ system, only less useful.

Hm, that is an interesting idea. Imagine if most restaurants did this kind of thing….it’d be very simple to just look up some nutrition info or something like that.
i’d be interested if you could order through your DS, that would be sweet! just submit what you wanted with your name, and they would call it out when its ready just like if you had ordered at the counter
btw, the link is dead.
both of them
sorry :s fixed the links now. thanks for the heads up
thanks pete!
mcdonald’s in Asia are way cooler
@ continuo
yeah they are! i have a japanese roommate, and she was telling me sometimes you will see lines over an hour long just to get into one… crazy stuff! It’s weird, but they are actually “fancy” restaurants in some parts of tokyo… who would have known!
