Nintendo’s highly anticipated fighter has been available in Japan since the end of January, and has already eclipsed the Japanese sales of the GameCube’s Super Smash Bros. Melee. Brawl should outpace its predecessor in North America within a few months if not weeks.
Worldwide, Brawl is about to surpass the sales of the original Super Smash Bros., and should become the best-selling Smash Bros. game ever within the year. Kinda makes the GameCube look even more pathetic, doesn’t it?
