Rock Band will expand library without DLC

Sure downloadable content isn’t doable right now with the Wii, but Harmonix is working around the problem with Rock Band. Due out on July 15th, 20 tracks will be packed into Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 ready to shred, if you’re willing to pay the additional $29.99.

It still doesn’t make up for some other missing features available on PS3 and 360 (like character customization, which I love), but I’m glad to see some work going towards the Wii version. Full list of the tracks after the break.

 Track Pack Volume 1:

  1. 30 Seconds to Mars The Kill
  2. All American Rejects Move Along
  3. Blink – 182 All the Small Things
  4. Boston More Than a Feeling
  5. David BowieMoonage Daydream
  6. Faith No More We Care A Lot
  7. Grateful Dead Truckin’
  8. The Hives Die, All Right!
  9. KISS Calling Dr. Love
  10. Lynyrd Skynyrd Gimme’ Three Steps
  11. Nine Inch Nails March of the Pigs
  12. Oasis Live Forever
  13. ParamoreCrushcrushcrush
  14. The Police Synchronicity II
  15. Queens of the Stone Age Little Sister
  16. Ramones Teenage Lobotomy
  17. Smashing Pumpkins Siva
  18. Stone Temple Pilots Interstate Love Song
  19. Weezer Buddy Holly
  20. Wolfmother Joker & the Thief

It’s better than nothing. Only having to pay for the songs you want would be better. At least they’re doing something.

I’m still not buying a gimped game, though.

    Paramore!!!!

    (guilty pleasure)

did you know that the drummer for Paramore (Zac) is only 18? That’s freaking intense!!! Some of the tracks from their latest cd make him seem like he’s been drumming forever!!!

Harmonix/MTV trying to make a quick buck. Good thing about DLC is that you can choose what do and don’t want to purchase, here they’re pretty much making you purchase an entire CD for a handful of tracks.

Wait until Nintendo figures out their space situation then when everyone else (GH, RB) starts to release their DLC purchase it.
