Samba de Amigo to feature Wi-Fi capabilities?

sambaboxart.jpg Samba de Amigo was recently announced by Sega and an early form of it was playable at the Nintendo Media Summit. The very early build (alpha stage, to be exact) featured noteworthy graphics, songs from the Dreamcast version of the game and used the Wiimote’s waggle to act like maracas.

The thing that caught my eye was the familiar white on blue “Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection” symbol on the box art. Perhaps the game will feature some DLC? Battles such as the ones featured on Guitar Hero III? Leaderboards? Oh the possibilities.

Gearbox hasn’t made any announcements just yet as to how the online campaign will work, but I will sit here patiently hoping for two things. One, all those aforementioned details. Two, some maracas.
