Modded SNES provides classic games on the go
Up until now, nothing - and I mean nothing - has rivaled my DS for gaming on the go. It’s in my bookbag no matter where I venture off to: be it class, work, or in Central Park. But this, this beautifully modded handheld device certainly gives my DS some competition. Pictured above is a SNES modded for on-the-go-gaming; powered by dual 7.2 v 2400 mAh li-ion batteries, this admirable piece of hardware features a 5-inch LCD display, 2P controller port, A/V out and, of course, custom-made shoulder buttons. The games fit snug on the top of the hardware as if it were a DS game, only 20x larger. Now only if this guy would make me one.

Wow, reminds me of my old SEGA GAME GEAR…
grrrrr i hate these things that are like one offs, i want to be able to buy one :(
Reminds me of that wooden SNES.
Only BETTER.
I WANT.
1995 called- it wants the Nomad back.
Nomad was a little more unsymmetrical than the Game Gear and didn’t have as rounded corners. I still wanted the Nomad…
My Game Gear still works, of course, but I don’t know where the battery covers are…
Yes, because the Game Gear accepted full-size Genesis cartridges. Way to sabotage my joke, dude. :P
Man, I like how the screen looks! So nice!
@mat
no the game gear didn’t take megadrive/genesis carts but it did take mastersystem carts.
