Sonic Unleashed on Wii
Sega officially announced Sonic Unleashed and put an end to much of the speculation following the mass amounts of leaked information that has been floating around the last few weeks. The press release also lists the platforms the game will be available on, and luckily for Nintendo fans, it includes the Wii.
Unleashed sounds like it has been getting the royal treatment from Sega, with mention of a three year production cycle already, and creation of its own engine designed to move from 3-D to 2-D gameplay. Sounds promising, but I’m crossing my fingers just to be safe. Sonic Unleashed is scheduled to arrive late 2008.
The full press release is after the break, but remember you can check out over 80 screenshots for the game (360/PS3 build) here.

Finally it’s official. It’s nice that all of the consoles are getting this game too. I’ll be picking up the PS3 version for sure. Heck I’ll even try out the Wii version as well if the controls are as fun as Secret Rings.
I wonder who is doing the music for Sonic Unleashed!?!?!? Anyoen know yet?
Better not be totally gimped.
i hope music-wise they can find a good balance and new and old sonic to go with
kind of like how brawl did it, but with originals rather than remakes

as long as Crush 40 gets to make some, as well as Steve Conte (Seven Rings in Hand :) )
Considering that Sonic Team’s main music and sound guy since Sonic 3 has been Jun Senoue, the guitarist of Crush 40, I think it’s a safe bet that they’ll be working on at least some of the game’s music.
