Little League World Series heading to Wii and DS?
Between the intense focus on pitch counts (we don’t want their arms to explode at such a young age!) and the genuine excitement that radiates from every player’s face, the Little League World Series is actually entertaining. The series is especially fun to watch when your major league team of choice is well out of the playoff race by mid-August. Which is pretty much 80 percent of the teams- and the Cubs.
GameFly currently has a product listing for a Little League World Series game that’s published by Activision with a release date of August 7th. Nothing else is known about this game, but I’m sure we’ll hear about it in the near future given the early August release date.
Would a game that focuses on baseball fundamentals and teamwork be fun? Probably not, but I can’t blame Activision for giving it the ol’ college middle school try. Hopefully a Little League World Series game will finally stop people from saying that the Wii and DS are just for kids…
