Get ready to pay up, WiiWare titles feature priced downloadable content
In Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as King, 1500 Wii points will get you the basic package. If you like what you see, and find yourself wanting more, have no fear! Costing 100 and 300 points respectively, downloadable costumes (see side pic for pirate costume) and extra races will be available.
It’s hard to take a side on this news, considering we are getting more content, and the original package is no doubt cheaper. But where does it all take us? Will we be paying through the nose later on for the full game experience?

hum…this reminds me of the full featured shipped version of Beautiful Katamari, but unfortunately you had to pay extra to play it, in it’s entirety… =|
I’m really getting sick of this stuff. On the one hand, some games come as they would without the existence of DLC, and new stuff is added as it’s developed. On the other hand, there are cases like this where, without the existence of DLC, the main game would probably have a lot more content. There’s no way they’d make a Crystal Chronicles game without including Yukes or Lilties.
Like the 1500 points the bare-bones game costs isn’t too much anyway.
