Sonic Unleashed…unleashed!
“Sonic Unleashed” was trademarked not too long ago. While the game’s platform hasn’t yet been announced (heck, the game hasn’t even been announced), all the screens found after the break suggest that it is going to be a 360/PS3 game, with some of the image filenames suggesting a cover image for Official Nintendo Magazine. Multiplatform with the Wii? Uh Oh.
As for how the game plays, you can see in the video above that the game takes from both Sonic and the Secret Rings as well as the 16-bit throwback with 2.5D sidescrolling - hey, two control schemes that actually worked! Sonic also apparently transforms into a werewolf at certain points in the game, triggering all new possibilities. Expect new characters as well - though that’s nothing new.
Again, check out all beautiful screens after the break.

Finally! This is how it should of been all along! Not to say that all of Sonic’s 3-D outings were crapfests (Sonic Adventure 1&2 and The Secret Rings FTW). This will hopefully bring Sonic back to full form.
What? you didn’t love the team system in Sonic Heroes??
kidding.
[…] The full press release is after the break, but remember you can check out over 80 screenshots for the game (360/PS3 build) here. […]
