Dana Centre to host museum event featuring Wii Fit

Next Wednesday, March 26, the Dana Centre will be hosting a “Play Away the Calories” event, featuring different physically engaging video games. Tim Cable, Professor of Exercise Physiology at the Liverpool John Moores University, will be on hand to demonstrate physical activities and test calorie burn during those activities. He’ll even be calling upon Nintendo’s Wii Fit to see how it stacks up against daily routines such as going on a brisk walk.

Nintendo is officially supporting the event, so you can bet there will be plenty of opportunities to see the game in action, and you may even get to try the game out. As an added bonus, you get to go to London’s Science Museum for the day. I’ve been meaning to go to Chicago’s MSI over my spring break, but this “Play Away the Calories” event would be like combining two of my favorite things!
