Taking a step in a different direction, publisher THQ has decided to take the Drawn to Life gameplay mechanic and slap on a trusted brand in SpongeBob SquarePants. In my humble opinion, SpongeBob SquarePants could sell old, smelly and maggot-infested meat if they slapped an edible sticker on it. Sadly the original developer of Drawn to Life, 5th Cell, will not be handling the sequel for the DS. That responsibility falls on the shoulders of Altron.

The story is standard fare for the SpongeBob SquarePants series: both Patrick and SpongeBob are kidnapped by the drawn clone of SpongeBob from the series, DoodleBob. The player is then tasked with creating his own hero and rescuing the sea dwelling pals.
