While Nintendo owners have been satisfying their nostalgic urges with Virtual Console downloads every week, Nintendo of America’s project development senior officer Tom Prata confirms 100 WiiWare titles are currently in development. In addition to this, 80% of of game proposals are coming from companies who haven’t created games on the Nintendo platform in the past.
While others might be happy with other current-gen download alternatives, with the diversity of developers and original IP’s planned, it looks like it could be the one download service to rule them all. We all better start cashing in our change, recyclables and lunch money for Wii points in preparation for May 12th.
