Nintendo DS: Rise of the Machines
While many of us use the Nintendo DS as a way to pass the time, or relax from a stressful day at work or school, others have taken a different approach. Several French engineering students decided to use this hand-held as a way of communicating with a miniature robot. The user can either use the touch screen as a controller, or use voice commands thanks to the internal microphone.
It’s only a matter of time before we will all have the technology to control our own little Chibi-Robo around the house. I could use a remote controlled robot to plant flowers outside, pick up the trash, and organize my N64 cartridges. Hopefully if it ever becomes mass produced, it won’t be a Wal-Mart exclusive.
