So that’s two games stripped of online features in the Wii version only. Sure, it’s only in Australia, but still. They promised. Thankfully, EA knows that some buyers were looking forward to the online component of the game, and are offering a refund to those who spent their hard-earned cash only to be let down. Here’s the official word from Cameron Jenkins, the PR Specialist at EA Australia:
“Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for Wii does not support online functionality in Australia. We made an error in the documentation and marketing materials. We are very sorry to have caused confusion for our customers. We will provide a refund to anyone in Australia who wishes to return the game to EA because of the lack of online functionality.”
Nice gesture, but it looks like you’ll have to get your online fix elsewhere.
