September 7, 2008. Write the date on your calendar, put it in your iPhone, or grab a slab of stone and etch the date into it, because Spore is finally coming to the PC, Mac, and DS. Unfortunately, the portion of my brain that used to be excited for Spore was turned off a few years ago after the fifth, sixth, or maybe even seventh delay. Wait a second, I think I can feel… alright, I’m excited again!

While we have every reason to believe that Spore is coming to the Wii, there was no mention of a Wii version in today’s announcement. My first instinct tells me that the Wii version is still in the works, but it might be released sometime after September. Either way, we’ll keep you updated on all things Spore as we inch our way closer to September.

EA AND MAXIS TO SHIP SPORE IN SEPTEMBER
