Posting on the Capcom forums, senior director of strategy Christian Svensson answered some of the forum members’ questions:
- March 25th is a possible release date in the US. Okami is now fully playable on the Wii.
- European release will follow shortly.
- Features such as 16:9 widescreen and progressive scan will be discussed with the media soon. They have no comment whether it is confirmed to be available yet.
- No plans for a collector’s edition. An incentive will be available for those willing to purchase the game from Capcom’s online store.
- No TV marketing, but an “appropriately sized (marketing) push.”
Expect widescreen to be confirmed, and European fans rejoice! They seem to be taking you guys seriously. Hopefully it will be soon enough to make waiting for Super Smash Bros. Brawl a little easier.
