@White-Mog

I think that you are finger pointing here dude. "Nintendo" has no plans to make a MMO, but what about 3rd parties? Rememeber that Nintendo makes systems, and makes the games that "they" want for them. This doesn't mean that there isn't going to be any MMO games period on the machine, it's upto 3rd parties to do what they want.

I mean think about your XBOX, do you think that Microsoft plans on making any MMO games for it's machines? Doubtful. But I bet that other developers would.

Nintendo is really pissing me off lately with these type of comments. they're completely giving the finger to the hardcore gamer. not that a MMO Animal Crossing is for the hardcore, just in general. they've completely abandoned the techie gamer and the middle gamer who's been around since the NES days and may now being into more advanced ideas. all they're going for now is the easy buck with the simple kiddie games and gimmicky controls. yeah you have your Mario's and RE:4 ports, but for the most part they're not moving forward technically. everything is a lateral move game-wise. which is why i was so excited getting Wii on release day, and now i only play the 360 i bought two months ago. one engaging 20 hour game every 5 months isn't enough Nintendo.

at RF Larke:

I didn't even notice that.. I recognize it from some early screens of the game. The market changed considerably it seems.

I'd be very surprised if Animal Crossing Wii didn't have some sort of online gameplay. The Gamecube one was offline and it still encouraged you to go to other people's towns. Online just makes sense.

Animal Crossing won't be a traditional MMO, but it will carry some similarities. I'm of the opinion that Nintendo should stay away from MMO's anyway. I'm confident they can come up with something that won't take over our lives, and at the same time be enjoyable.

Nintendo will fool us all by unveiling some revolutionary MMO concept for Animal Crossing.

If not, then...bah, bah, bah, bah, and BAH!
