Surprise! Brawl tops the Japanese software sales list

Last week’s sales chart for Japanese titles is out, and at first glance suggests that hell is freezing over. Only two Wii titles and one DS title, compared to six on Sony platforms (including three on PS3) and one for the Xbox 360. In actuality, all the hardcore Nintendo gamers were too busy helping Super Smash Bros. Brawl outsell the rest of the Top 10 while all the casuals continued to buy Wii Fit and Mario & Sonic.

You  can check out the Top 50 list after the break. Note that the sales figure for Brawl is only after a total of four days instead of the whole week.

[...] Smash Bros. Brawl is kinda sorta out in Japan, despite the fact that you probably couldn’t find it in stores if you went now. [...]
