The past week has been spent hand-picking and organizing over 900 items to feature in the store, which includes games, accessories, movies, books, figures/plushies, and much more.     Do you guys allow pre-orders for games with shipping at least close to the release date?

    If so maybe I’ll use you for my next semi-big game purchase (i.e. Fatal Frame 4).

    I love the Tanooki, and I’d buy all my games through your store, if it wasn’t for the fact that Amazon refuses to ship video games to Canada. They’ll ship books, DVDs, pretty much anything else. American and Canadian games are exactly the same, so it really does frustrate me how they have this rule in place.

    Awesome, you guys can collect my hard earned cash from now on…..I guess I can make my 26th Wii title purchase from you guys.

    Just curious….any chance of having giveaways to customers that purchase “X” amount of goods? Like giving away cool knick knacks if you purchase 5 games or something, similar to the knick knacks for the treasure ship? I’m a sucker for these types of things…that’s why I end up pre-ordering all my games from Gamestop, even though I would rather give my money elsewhere.

    No worries, if the US store is a success, we will definitely open stores for Canada and the UK.

    Since Amazon handles the shipping, I have no doubt that you will receive a preordered game around the release date.

    Since we don’t handle the shipping of an item, we can’t throw in little knick knacks or promotional items. However, we will be entertaining a few different options to reward frequent buyers.

    From my experience, Amazon has been extremely good with shipping on release dates. Sometimes, it will even come to your door the morning of the release date- Before the stores open!

    Thanks for all the feedback and questions, guys! This is the first time we have tried anything like this, so any type of feedback will only help improve the store. Everybody wins!

    Congrats on opening the online store. I’ll make sure to check the store for different things, at the very least to compare prices. I don’t have much money to spend but if I can help you kind folks out a little in the long run… I may be willing to part with a few extra dollars at times. Heh.

    Well I may very well pre-order a game or two from this Tanooki Store and test the waters. I would much rather support you guys in the process of buying my games then give any money to Gamestop; they always push cruddy extras on you.

    Well…. I just pre-ordered Smash Bros Brawl using your site. It seemed easy enough. The estimated ship date was the 13th of March so I should get it a few days after that. I hope it at least comes in before the weekend.
