Speculation: Get paid for playing Mario Kart Wii

Now, we know that Nintendo is looking for a beta tester, and that they are willing to pay said tester $8.40/hour, travel and medical expenses paid with a possibility of a raise. There will be a 2 week “try-out period” if you like, but that can be extended up to 6 months. But that’s where our knowledge ends. It isn’t specified which game(s) you would be testing, but really, does it matter which game it is? I know I’m not the only one who would be alright if it was Animal Crossing Wii.

Something tells me that I wouldn’t be able to get this job.

I read an article about game testers. Sure it sounds like a win/win deal, but…….the grueling hours they put in playing the same thing over and over again (like crashing into a wall all day?) did NOT sound like fun! I forget where I read about testers–maybe “Paid to Play” or online–but I don’t care what game it is, I’d much rather play the game strictly for fun instead of looking for glitches and whatnot!

Yeah.. I guess that’s true. But crashing into walls and checking for glitches would probably be a lot more fun than flipping burgers or working a cash register. There are positives and negatives to both I suppose, but at least they won’t make you wear a uniform. Or do they? :P
