Brawl intro movie, character select screen
Well here’s something expected - Ness and Marth are definitely in Brawl. Makes sense, since we already found out about Ness, and since Castle Siege has flags from Marth’s games all over. Just so I cover my bases, this is no more of a spoiler than the Dojo updates. In fact, it’s less of a spoiler than finding out about unlockables such as Snake and Mario.

That screen looks like it doesn’t include all of the unlockables. Where is Sonic?

The number of the day does seem to be 35. I can’t say I’m not disappointed. Though I don’t doubt that the final product will be phenomenal, I can’t help but wonder why certain characters would have been included while others — Isaac, Krystal, Ridley, anyone from Animal Crossing, Midna — would have been apparently excluded from the playable roster. Fortunately, I have until March to get over this disappointment and look forward to actually playing this thing.
Sadly enough, I was more excited by the original melee intro movie than this one…not sure if it was because I’d already listened to the title track dozens of times since it was released.

The initial shock of seeing Brawl in action is what made me so excited. I agree that this video didn’t feel as awesome, but if this one had been the very first video they released? Wow.
