Been waiting for a good Mario Party? Here it is!

I don’t know what the rest of you all did for your 6th birthday parties, but all I got was three or so hours at the local Discovery Zone with the tunnels, ball pits, arcades, etc. It was fun at the time, but looking back, there really isn’t much to remember.

Tanooki reader Serg sent photos of a Mario-themed birthday party they recently threw for their son. Ethan was turning 6-years-old at the time. Ethan got Mario invitations, a homemade Kirby piñata, a papercraft Mario cupcake display, a Yoshi egg-hunt, and possibly the best goodie-bag items ever thought up. Mario and Luigi hats? Mario scratch-and-win cards? Mario candy, stickers, and yo-yos? Kids these days are so lucky.

Huge thanks to Serg for the submission! You can check out more photos after the break.

A Yoshi egg-hunt. Why didn’t anyone think of that before? Regardless, there’s no doubt Ethan had a great party. Apparently someone else had a Pac-Man theme for their eighth birthday, so you can check that out and more at the link below.
