Solid Snake gets bored of saving the world; takes office job
Perhaps this could be the setting of Metal Gear Solid 5: Water Cooler? It might be a radical change from the “choose your own side” battlefield of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but what can I say? Snake has bills to pay.
