The never-ending flood that is Multi-Man Battle returns for Brawl
Another main-stay of the Smash Bros. franchise is confirmed to return with this morning’s update. The Multi-Man mode first appeared in the original Super Smash Bros., and it challenged players to fend off the members of the Fighting Polygon Team. With Melee this mode returned, but for this title the Polygon Team was replaced with the Fighting Wire Frame Team. This morning we learn that for Brawl the Multi-Man team has been replaced yet again, and this time around the mode will feature the Fighting Alloy Team.
For those unfamiliar with this mode, it is essentially a survival mode where players must endure an onslaught of fighters from the Multi-Man team. Although these characters are significantly weaker than a normal player, there is power in numbers, and a great deal of skill is required if one hopes to succeed in this mode. Similar to the set-up found in Melee, you will be able to chose from a variety of brawl types, ranging from fighting a specific number of characters or surviving for a given amount of time against an unlimited number of fighters.
New to Brawl is the inclusion of two player co-op for this mode. Not only will we be able to play with a friend on a local console, but this co-op feature is also available to play with friends online. If Multi-Man Brawl proves to be too difficult for you, try taking the challenge on with a friend!
